If Your Gone
By Queen Bulma-san

Pan wrapped her arms gently around herself, it was a full moon tonight, and the stars were out on a clear night. She was happily married, and she had a son who was extremely powerful. She didn't know it at the time, but her husband Trunks stood in the shadows, watching her. He was being careful to hide his ki; he didn't want to be noticed, the last time he got caught, she didn't talk to him that whole day.
In fact, she had been real moody the whole week! Something must be up with her, he knew it for a fact, but he just couldn't figure it out. He was going to watch her; Trunks married this life-loving girl, because he loved her. And as her husband, it was his duty to make sure that she was safe. Yet Pan was constantly pushing him away, and he didn't know why.
She wrapped her blanket tightly around her shoulders, how could she make anybody understand? She felt, different, her soul did anyway. Something was there, it was simply added to her entire being, nobody could know. It was hate; she used to be so happy, and outgoing, she used to be so life quenching, but it just wasn't there anymore.
Like the wind, it left her. At sometimes she felt like if she screamed, it would only echo to her again. Nobody would care, nobody would listen. If she told Trunks, he might think that she was nuts, and lock her up in a loony bin. Maybe she was having a nervous break down, but if she didn't talk to soon, she would snap.
Pan perked up a bit when she felt a familiar ki behind a tree, she smirked and teleported behind Trunks, "The hell?" he whispered searching for her. Pan gently tapped his shoulder, he spun around and faced her, "Are you spying on me, lover?" she asked in a mischievous voice. Trunks tried to catch his breath from the scare Pan gave him.
"I wasn't spying. I was watching you." he said smoothly, "Why?" she asked tilting her head. Trunks shrugged, "Tell me something and be honest, is there something wrong with you?" he questioned. She didn't respond, yet she looked him right in the eyes and simply said "No, why would think that?"
"You're lying…" she shook her head "No, I'm not." She said simply. Pan circled him a couple of times, "What are you doing?" he asked confused, "Why are you watching me?" Pan shot back.
He faced her with serious eyes, "I know something is wrong with you, but you won't tell me what's going on. Plus it's four in the morning, and here you are sitting outside, with a blanket around your shoulders, staring up at the sky!" he protested. Pan walked away, picked up her blanket and headed for the house. "I'm fine," Trunks appeared in front of her, "Not from where I'm standing." He injected.
Pan eyes were huge with anger; she pushed him aside and continued her walk back home. Trunks caught up with her, and grabbed her waist; pulling her close to his body, "Please tell me what's wrong?" Pan smiled; she loved it when he did that. She turned around and faced her loving husband with fiery eyes, "Not a chance, stud." She whispered pulling him close and kissing him.
Trunks lay in bed with Pan in his arms sleeping soundly, her skin felt warm against his. They left the window open, the moonlight shown through the window. He kept staring out to the world outside, slowly got up and pulled on his robe. Walking over to the balcony and stepping outside he inhaled the sweet summer air. "Mmmph Trunks?" Pan mumbled sitting up. He was still outside, and she could tell that something was troubling him. Pan pulled a sheet over her naked body, and walked slowly outside to join her mate.
"What's wrong?" she whispered in his ear, "You are." He answered quietly. Pan looked a little angry now, "What is that supposed to mean?" she demanded. He kept his hands locked onto the rail, "Why won't you tell me what's wrong?" Trunks asked. "Because you'll think I'm crazy, that's why!" she exclaimed.
Trunks looked in his lover's eyes pleadingly, "How could you say that I would think you're crazy?! I'm in love with you!!" he yelled on the verge of tears. Pan looked into Trunks' eyes and kissed his cheek gently, then she hugged him tightly. "Please don't cry, I will tell you when I'm ready I promise." Trunks jolted back from her.
His eyes were dry, but full of fiery hate, "Pan tell me now, if you need help then just tell me. I can help you, if you don't tell me by tomorrow, I'm taking Jacob and I'll leave." Pan went back into the bedroom and closed the door, but she didn't lock him out, she just wanted to be left alone for a minute. How could she tell him? She didn't want them to leave, but she didn't want to say what she felt.
Trunks kept his icy stare to the ground below the balcony; he wanted to help her. He wanted her to open up to him, and explain what was going on. No big a secret should be kept like this, but she could possibly have her reasons. Maybe he would freak out, unless she slept with another guy, he didn't see why he would freak out.
Trunks continued to wonder if he should go through with what he said to her, it was for the best. At least to him it was, Pan should be able to tell him anything! He just didn't know if he could bring himself to leave her. Emotionally he felt completely betrayed, she would share things with him all the time, now it was different. He finally made his decision, he would leave, and there was no point in staying if she couldn't trust him.

The next morning…

Pan woke up hearing the sound of rain against her windows. She looked around her room, the house was bathed in complete silence, that was unusual. By now Jacob would be crying for a bottle, she put on her silk robe and went to her son's bedroom. She was praying that she would find her baby boy asleep in his crib, when she looked in the crib, he was not there. Trunks was not in the house either, but downstairs on the table there was a note for her.
When Pan read it she slumped to the floor, her body went numb. Trunks was gone, her son was gone, her life went with them. The room began to spin, she ran to the bathroom and began to vomit. Afterwards, she began to sob. Her body trembled, nobody was there to comfort her, nobody was there to tell her that she would be OK. Pan went to lie down in her bed, as she crawled underneath the covers, she hoped to god that she would never wake up.
Pan didn't want to pretend that her lover was there, she didn't want to have dreams of him making love to her. She wanted him to be there, she wanted him to do all of those things, slowly she drifted into a dreamless sleep. Her heartbeat slowed, she prayed that she wouldn't wake up again, and finally her heart fluttered and stopped. Pan drew in one last deep breath and said "I love you, my dear Trunks." And with that said she passed away.

I think I've already lost you
I think you're already gone.
I think I'm finally scared now
You think I'm weak - But I think you're wrong
I think you're already leaving
Feels like your hand is on the door
I thought this place was an empire
But now I'm relaxed - I can't be sure

I think you're so mean - I think we should try
I think I could need - this in my life
I think I'm just scared - I think too much
I know this is wrong it's a problem I'm dealing

If you're gone - maybe it's time to go home
There's an awful lot of breathing room
But I can hardly move
If you're gone - baby you need to come home
Cuz there's a little bit of something me
In everything in you

I bet you're hard to get over
I bet the room just won't shine
I bet my hands I can stay here
I bet you need - more than you mind

I think you're so mean - I think we should try
I think I could need - this in my life
I think I'm just scared - that I know too much
I can't relate and that's a problem
I'm feeling

If you're gone - maybe it's time to go home
There's an awful lot of breathing room
But I can hardly move
If you're gone - baby you need to come home
cuz there's a little bit of something me
In everything in you

Trunks snapped his eyes open, and sat up in his bed. Pan was sleeping soundly next ho him, he smiled and brushed a strand of black hair, from her face. She smiled and sighed gently. He laid back, and wiped the sweat from his forehead, "It was just a dream." He said to himself, he didn't really leave her, and she didn't die alone.

I'll be your dream I'll be your wish
I'll be your fantasy
I'll be your hope I'll be your love
Be everything that you need
I'll love you more with every breath
Truly, madly, deeply do
I will be strong I will be faithful 'cause I'm counting on

A new beginning
A reason for living
A deeper meaning

I want to stand with you on a mountain
I want to bathe with you in the sea
I want to lay like this forever
Until the sky falls down on me

And when the stars are shining brightly in the velvet sky,
I'll make a wish to send it to heaven
Then make you want to cry
The tears of joy for all the pleasure in the certainty
That we're surrounded by the comfort and protection of
The highest powers
In lonely hours
The tears devour you
I want to stand with you on a mountain
I want to bathe with you in the sea
I want to lay like this forever
Until the sky falls down on me
Oh can you see it baby?
You don't have to close your eyes
'Cause its standing right here before you
All that you need will surely come

I'll be your dream I'll be your wish
I'll be your fantasy
I'll be you hope I'll be your love
Be everything that you need
I'll love you more with every breath
Truly, madly deeply do

I want to stand with you on a mountain
I want to bathe with you in the sea
I want to lay like this forever
Until the sky falls down on me
