Its just another day like another. Nice bright, sunny, with a nice a nice cool breeze. MArron, Trunks, and Goten were at a pond they named the trio escape. They named it that because thats where they all get away from everything, you know problems like trouble, parents, grades. They were the only ones who knew of that place, well almost everyone Goten and Trunks always use to bring thier dates there. Marron was just laying down on a plaided blue blanket, smelling the cool breeze, in a shade. Goten and Trunks were playing some volley ball off somewhere. Marron didn't mind them; she just kept on daydreaming, dozing off.
"Hey Marron wake up, you don't just want to lay down on the grass and keep daydreaming all day." Goten's voice said distracting her wonderful dream.
"Well actually I can stay her all day, keeping my eyes closed and keep on daydreaming." Marron said in a dreamy jokingly voice, keeping her eyes closed not paying attentiong to anything he said.
"What are you dreaming about his time, huh?" Trunks asked." Mr. Romeo and you being Juliet?" Trunks said tesingly. Trunks saw that Marron opened her eyes, he always liked to say that when she's daydreaming, it always makes her mad.
"Whats that suppost to mean?" Marron said angrily, but calmly.
Goten saw that another arguement was gonna go on between the two, and he hated when that happened, he never could stop them." Marron he was just fooling around, don;t mind Trunks." Goten said willing to take them off this arguement.
"No Goten, I wanna know what that means." She said sternly looking at Goten, she turned back to Trunks." What was that suppost to mean?"
"It means that you need to face reality." Trunks said cooly.
"Face reality?!" Marron shreiked.
"Yeah, your always day dreaming and never going for it." Trunks said.
"Trunks has a point Marron." Goten said butting in.
"See even Goten agrees with me."
Marron was getting angry. She hated it when Trunks and Goten talk about her life, especially her love life." Whose side are you on Goten?!"
"Woah, I'm not taking sides!" Goten said.
"Huh! Yeah right!" Marron said, laying back down." Why so you guys always talk about me anyway?"
Trunks and Goten sighed." You know what your problem is Marron?" Trunks asked.
"Yeah, the problem that you always keep on starting a conversation with me by "you know what your problem is Marron?" She she said sarcastically.
Trunks glared at her." Ha, ha very funny." Trunks said sarcastically, looking like he was annoyed. Trunks got a blade of grass and put it in his mouth. then stared at the sky.
Marron saw that Trunks and Goten were getting bored with the polite conversation they were having. Especially Trunks, because Goten decided to take nap. They always spent the day before school school together, all three of them. Trunks and Goten sacrificed a canoeing trip for this, for her, not like she was all fattered but she was happy they did. It was like a tradition to them staying at he pond Goten and Trunks discovered and brought Marron there. She stared at Trunks, he looked do bored, and she wanted to do something. "Okay "Prez" enlighten me." Marron said.
Trunks got up, and took the blade of grass he was chewing on out of his mouth." Well okay, let's okay put it this was you're a girl that sticks to on thing and never try's anything new.
Marron groaned." This is not another conversation about me."
"Come on, you asked me to enlighten you."
Marron stared at Trunks, then she gave in." Okay, get on with it."
"Well anyway you're an iced tea kind of girl, you akways stick to it." Trunks said going to on one of his bigspeeches with Marronm and Marron knew where this was going. And she didn't want to here any of it, especially of its a bog speech about her." You know Trunks it getting very hot." Marron said trying to get him to change the subject. She took off her shorts and top, which under she was wearing a hot pink bikini.
Trunks stared at her." Woah." Trunks breathed out.
Marron saw how Trunks stared at her and she didn't like it one bit." Will you stop staring at me you baka!!!" Marron yelled.
Trunks backed off." Gosh I was just giving a compliment." Trunks said." Get over it."
"Your mean." Marron said in a tiny baby voce. She loved to do give her voice, Trunks always couldn't do anything, he got irritated.
Trunks looked at her, he hated it, he couldn't stand it." What Marron? I know that look anywhere, what do you want me to do?"
"You know me to well prez."Marron said brightning up."Can you go swimming with me in the pond, its getting ver hot?" Marron whined.
"What?!" Trunks shrieked." No way, I'm swimming with you!!! I dodn' bring any clothes with me! and where i am gonna change?"
"Come one its hot and I'm bored!!!" Marron whined. Marron kept on bothering Trunks.
" Marron I don't feel like it."
"I hate you!" Marron said." Why don't you wanna come?" Marron asked like a little baby.
Because I don't feel like it, and besides I told you I did't bring any extra clothes." Trunks reasoned. Marron sat down and folded her arms. " Your still the same old Trunks, you haven't changed one bit since I was gone."
"Neither have you, your still acting like a pathetic little kid, even though your gonna start yourt your senior year in highschool already." Trunks teased, as he poked her ribs.
"I totally hate you." Marron said firmly.
"See how can you change! You still act like your nine!"
"Excuse me?!" MArron said sarcastically.
"Like I said before, you're an iced tea kind of girl." Trunks repeated.
"Hey, iced tea isn't my only compamion, you and Goten are."
" I know that Roons." Trunks said as he took the half finished iced tea from her hand and and drank all the way.
"It's like you don't like iced tea anyway." Marron said back.
"I was thirsty, besides there wasn't anything left in the basket."
"Thats because you and your big stomach can't stop eating!" Marron teased.
"I wasn't the only one!"
"I heard that! Don't add me in your conversation guys." Goten said still laying down with his eyes closed.
Marron turned to him." I thought you were a sleep."
"I was, I couldn't stand your complaining, and one of Trunks' big speeches."
"What did you say?" Marron said like she was commanding it.
"Nevermind." Marron turned back to Trunks who was just dazing off in the sky." So Trunks, what does iced tea have to do with me?"
Trunks turned to her." So you wanna know more?"
"Just get on with it." Marron said." If you don't, I might as well stick to my theory about this year bringing fame, fortune, and a true love to my life."
"AHA! So the lady does wanna know more!" Trunks said. Marron stared at him like a total crazy phsychotic person." Well there is more." You see Marron, we were in a store, you got iced tea-------"
" Not iced tea again!" Marron complained.
"Just listen will you?" Trunks said." As I was saying before I was adbruptly interupted." Trunks said, Marron glared at him."Well there were 10 other flavors, like Lovers fruit passion, Mango Passion, or even cream soda."
"So?" Marron asked.
" So why didn't you say to yourself , that, oh this sounds interesting Marron, why don't I try lovers fruit passion, instead of my regular iced tea."
"I don't think there is a flavor Lovers fruit passion."
"Roons I'm working on a metaphor here, work with me."
"I'm working, I'm working."
"In anyway, you take the safe route." Trunks said." Your like some nun, sticking to one path and only one path, never taking another, ever, just face reality, you need to branh out."
"Why?" Marron asked, sounding like she didn't pay any attention.
"Why?!---Why? Because if you did, incredible things could happen."
"Such as?"
"You could be an inventor, like invent a change machine, like my mom, or you sould even chereograph, and be the hottest musical in Broadway, or better you could fall in love." Trunks said.
Marron groaned, she hated when conversations ended up with her love life, she hated to talk about it. Of course she's had lots of realtionships before, but she really never been serious about anything. Ofcourse Trunks and Goten dated half the population in the school they were going to, but they never have been in love. They always played around with their relationships, and Marron knew that.
"Roons, look at you, your 18 and are going into your first year of college, you don't want to spend your whole year alone?" Trunks asked.
"What about you Trunks?" Marron said turning the tables around." When you have a date and start making with them in the back of the movies, or in the car, you don't fell alone?"
"I try." Trunks said.
"I try." Marron insisted." I just never succeed."
Trunks laughed." Oh come on, the perfect guy would come right by, cute, handsome, nice, understanding, everything you want, some riding up to you on a white horse, and you'd just let him past by, with all you care."
"Thats's totally untrue."
Oh yeah right." Trunks' face was getting suspicious so was his voice."Prove it."
"Prove what?" Marron asked.
"Prove that you really want to fall in love."
"How?"
"How? By falling in love ofcourse."
"Trunks, its just not like getting and A+ in history, and I even you, can not go out and fall inlove."
"How do you know if you haven't even tried?"
"How bout you Trunks? HOw do you know if you never fell in love before?" Goten's voice said from behind.
"Goten stay out of this." Trunks said, he always wanted to humiliate MArron, for fum, always wanted to fluster her." What do you say?"
"Forget it." Marron said. She laid back down, and put on her headphones, and turned on her discman. Trunks went behind MArron, and took off her head phones." Hey!!"
"Come on Marron, your not scared that you can't do it are you?" Trunks said teasinly." Come on Marron, I dare you to fall in love."
Marron paused for a moment." Okay Trunks, I dare you to fall in love, I'm not talking about some two week romance at a malt shop ro anything either."
Marron heard Goten laugh." Oh yeah right, like Trunks can fall in love, you have got to be kidding, him fall in love? Thats a new one."
Trunks glared a very deadly glare at Goten." Woah man I was just fooling."
"I'm also not talking about you going out with that cheerleader with a big chest, I'm talking commitment."
Trunks shrugged."OKay you got it."
Marron's eyes widened, so did Goten's."What?"
"I dared you , you dared me, whoever succeeds wins."
"What?"
"I told you, I dared you, you dared me, whoever succeeds wins."
"Excuse me? You actually want us to dare eachother to fall inlove?"
"Why not?"
Marron paused. This is so weirs, but she didn;t want to embarass herself in front of Trunks." Your right."
Truks eyes lit up." I am?"
"He is?" Goten asked.
"Yes he is, but lets make it a bet."
Trunks brightened, he loved bets." Any ideas Trunks?"
"Loser has to make winners lunch for a week."Trunks said.
"WHAT?!"MArron shreiked."NO WAY!!! I'M NOT WASTING MY MONEY ON 900 TONS OF FOOD!!!! THATS VERY UNFAIR!!!"
Trunks and Goten burst out laghing."OKay, maybe not that." Trunks said as he and Goten tried to stop laughing.
"Come one prez, you can do better that that, Goten help him out." Marron said." And stop lughing that wasn't funny!!!!"
"Okay, hold on." Trunks said. Trunks and Goten sat silent for a minute. Then Goten spoke up. " How about, who ever loses has to clean the winners room once a week, for a year."
"Yeah Goten, how about it Marron?" Trunks asked.
"HELLO!!!!! EXCUSE ME!!!! DON'T FORGET I'M A NEAT FREAK!!! You are just two slumps, so thats very unfair, cause if I win, you have nothing to clean!!"
"Gosh okay, okay." Trunks said.
"Come on Trunks, Goten, we need something more challenging."
Okay hold on let us meditate." Trunks said. Goten and Trunks sat silent. Marron just looked at them. They looked like two people who couldn't figure out something, or a problem.
"Well?"
Trunks sat silent."AHA!! I got it!!"
Marron turned to him." What is it Mr. Know-it-all?"
"OKay if I win, you have to cut your ahir short, bleach it, then color part of the sides with the clors of the rainbow." Trunks said.
"What?!"Marron yelped. Trunks knew very well that Marron lved her hair, long soft blond, some people even envied her for it. Trunks saw the stricken look on her face." Whats wrong Marron? Are you that sure that your gonna lose, already?" Trunks said in a teasing voice. Goten started laughing.
"All right Mr.-to-cool-to-lose, what if I win?"
"Simple, I have to get my ear peirced." Trunks said.
"Fine you think of something."
Marron paused a moment."Okay if i win, you, Trunks Briefs, President of Capsule Corp. to be, has to shave your head, and leave the word loser stuck on it, to add more pleasure, I'll even do the shaving myself." Marron grinned to herself. Goten started laughing louder.
Trunks whistled. MArron saw that he didn't like the idea. But he couldn't just back out, it isn;t Trunks' style."Well Mr. to-cool-to-loose what do you say?'
"Trunks youd do not want to do this you guys are crazy, of youg us are actually doing this." Goten said.
"Okay Marron, I'll do it, lets shake on it." Trunks said. Trunks and Marron shook hands solemnly. Of course they still need time.
"Lets settle this at the night of the winter ball." Trunks said. " We have to bring our true loves there."
"YOu got it."
