Part 11, Marron: Forgive Trunks?

Marron was on her bed.  She was staring up at the ceiling, her face blank.  Important and thoughts that depressed her entered her mind slowly.  'I shouldn't be acting like this...but I am...I should be happy...’ She paused.  'After all...I just came from a date with one of the hottest guys in school!  Even though I hate to admit it...I miss Trunks, a lot...I should be talking to him about it...' She stopped, and then kept on thinking.  'Except Trunks' is just so...so...so Trunks!!!!!'

She turned and tumbled in her bed, but she couldn't sleep.  She stared up at the stars that her, Goten and Trunks put up when her family first moved in to the new house.  She sat up and turned on the radio.  'I hate him!  And I won't forgive him!'  Marron paused for a moment.  'Is he even going to say sorry...?'

Marron stared at a picture that Bulma took of her and Trunks when they were freshman.  It was at a fund raising contest.  It was right after Trunks and Marron went to get their prizes.  They were still full of Chocolate and cookie dough, wearing aprons.  In the picture Trunks was giving Marron a piggyback ride wearing a flowery apron that said "MOM" on it.  It was right before Trunks slipped on a banana peel and they fell on a bunch of Trash.  Marron giggled at the picture.  She had it in a frame right by her bed.  She kept silent, and eventually fell asleep.

--

Trunks was heading to Marron's house 6:00 on Saturday morning.  He just came from Dunkin Donuts with 2 large cups of hot chocolate and 2 boxes of donuts.  He got out of the car and walked to the door.  'I hope she'll accept my way of saying sorry.'  He knew that he would end up eating it all anyway.

He knocked on the door for a few times and Krillin opened it.

"Good morning Trunks!!  How are you?  How's everyone at your house?" Krillin asked and motioned for him to come in.  "What can I help you with?"

"First of all, Good Morning, and um...here are some donuts!  I hope you like it!" Trunks said handing him one of the boxes.  "Is Marron here by any chance?"

Krillin opened the box.  Juu-chan came out of the kitchen.

"Trunks!  Good morning!"

"Good morning Auntie!  Is Marron here by any chance?" Trunks asked.

"Yeah, she is...but I think she's upstairs..." Juu-chan said.  "Why don't you just go upstairs and knock on her door?  I'm sure she's already wide awake!"

Trunks went up the stairs.  He knocked on the door quietly.  "Marron?  Roonz are you there?"

--

Marron heard a knock.

"Marron?  Roonz are you there?"

Marron turned around and fell off the bed.  She rubbed her head.  "DAMNIT!  WHO IS IT!?!?!?!"

"It's Trunks, are you okay??  Can I come in??"

Marron's eyes widened.  "Prez?!?!?"

"Ugh yeah...."

"WAIT!  DON'T YOU DARE COME IN!  GIVE ME 5 SECONDS!!" She yelled.  She jumped up and headed for the closet.  'Why does he have to come at the worse times!?!?!?!?!?'

Marron took a robe and put it around her.  She quickly fixed her bed.   She didn't even have time to brush her teeth. "Come in!"

Trunks poked his head in.  "Is it safe?"

Marron glared at him.  "It's always safe and neat, not like YOUR room of course."

Trunks walked in and gave her an angry look.  "Good morning to you to, grouch."

"What're you doing here..." Marron gazed at the clock.  "6:00 IN THE MORNING?!?!"

Trunks laughed.  He handed her the box of donuts and one of the hot chocolates.  "Just thought you might want breakfast."

Marron took the box.  She opened the box, and took out one glazed donut.  "You know me to well Prez, after a bad week, donuts and hot chocolate in the morning are just what I need, thanks."

Trunks smiled.  "Welcome."

Marron sipped on her hot chocolate.

"Oh yea...I just wanted to...um...say sorry for what I did." Trunks said shyly.

Marron paused and looked at him.  'He's saying sorry?  Is this ferreal?'  She smiled.  "Well Trunks, I have one thing to say to you..." Marron stopped.  ‘On second thought…he’s already saying sorry, our friendships *online* again…I don’t think I should say what I was about to…why ruin it again?’  "On second thought don't worry about it Prez, it was a stupid reason anyway, besides, I didn't even realize it happened."  Marron said blushing.  She gazed at him.  Being honest wasn’t exactly Marron’s strong point, but she tried hard enough.  'God!  I can't come out and just say what I want!  I mean last night, I wasn't going to forgive him and now?'  Marron paused at the thought.  She was embarrassed, for no reason why.  She was dumbfounded in the middle of forgiving him, which seemed awkward.

Trunks looked at her.  "Ferreal?"

"Yeah, but you're forgiven anyway." Marron said smiling at him.  She turned around, not facing him.  She sighed.  A sad and *Un-Marron* look came upon her face.  ‘Honesty…we…I…’

Trunks looked at her with a concern look.  ‘I still don’t think she’s forgiven me all the way…I mean…I trust her and all…but…’ Trunks paused at his thought.  He looked at his little blonde friend eating a donut very slowly.  He sipped on his hot chocolate a little.  He stood up and walked behind her.  "You know...I agree with what Bra told me, and you know, you're not always honest about how you feel."

Marron turned around to look at him.  "What're you talking about?" Marron asked getting a little defensive.  She put her donut on a napkin and turned around again.

"I mean, you might say that I'm forgiven, but...sometimes, I just don't think that you fully recover about things that I do to you." Trunks said.  "You get me?"

Marron laughed.  "I have no idea what you're talking about Trunks.  What you're saying is stupid and...FOUL!"  Marron spat out.  “And besides, you haven’t done anything but good to me after all these years.  I just can’t believe you’d accuse yourself of such…” Marron paused to think of a word.  “…Misjudgment.”

Trunks stood up.  "IT IS NOT!" Trunks yelled.  He calmed down a bit.  He walked around her room while giving her one of the *Trunks Lectures*.  "I mean, sometimes you put others in front of you." Trunks said.  “I and I don’t think it’s right, I mean,” Trunks looked at her.  “The last time you had a boyfriend…Marron, you let him use you, and actually was dumb enough to believe him!”

'I can't believe he'd say that!'

Marron was taken back.  She stood up and walked up to him.  “So what?!  So you think it’ll happen to my relationship with James?!” She shrieked.  “That’s the past Trunks!  That was then, and this is now.

"And what you said about me putting others in front of me…Trunks that just isn't true, I mean what I mean, I'm just hoping that people…." Marron said.  "I mean…lets take our fright…I mean, when you didn't tell me about it, I don't know, I felt somewhat betrayed and somewhat upset, it was a mixed feeling.  It’s stupid I know.  I mean, now that you're here...I just don't feel the same way, and I have NO idea why."  She said continuing her 'speech'.  “And you think that by just saying ‘forget about it Prez’ is putting you in front of myself?”

"Well...look, it's not that I didn't trust you or anything, I just got caught up in the bet, you know?" Trunks said first.  He didn’t exactly know what to tell her.  ‘Is she?  Is she putting me in front of her thoughts and priorities?  I mean…after all these years?’  “And Marron I didn’t mean it like that…I’m…actually kind of shocked that you forgave me so easily.” Trunks said.  ‘Great, I just confused myself.’

They were both silent for a while.  They said nothing.  They were in deep thought, with something that they didn’t even realize that was happening.

“So!” Marron popped trying to break the silence.  “…You know…” Marron started off.  She didn’t seem like herself.  There was a little bet of a depressing tone in her voice.  “Trunks… I don’t know what to say…it’s not like it’s serious, but I *seriously* don’t know what to tell you.” Marron laid out.

He stood up.  “Well…I better leave then.”

“Leave?” Marron asked confused.  “I didn’t mean…like, I didn’t mean for you to leave, I just said…”

Trunks walked to Marron and kissed her on the cheek.  “We both need to think about our personal problems.” Trunks said.  “We both need time alone, but I’ll call you later.” Trunks walked out the door and left.

Marron walked after him.  “Trunks, hold up!”

Trunks turned around.  “Yea?”

Marron giggled.  “It’s almost Halloween!  I have absolutely *no* time to think about that!  I need to think about costumes!”

Trunks sighed.  “I am *NOT* going as Peter Pan…I’m *NOT* going to wear spandex…”

Marron giggled.  “Baka…you already do!”

Trunks glared at her.  “Fine, I’m not going as Aladdin then.”

Marron frowned.  “WHY NOT!!  You, Goten, and I all agreed on Aladdin this year!”

Trunks looked at her and sighed.  “Why are we still trick or treating?”

Marron smiled and grabbed his hand and led him to her room.  “It’s fun!  Besides!  We get candy!”

Trunks lit up.  “I’m still not going as Aladdin.”

“By the way…Marron…about Homecoming…you ARE going right?”

Marron giggled.  “Of course…I just have to buy my dress is all!”

“I still can’t believe you’re going with that bastard…” Trunks cringed.

“Shut up Trunks!  You’re going with an egotistic social climber!  What’s the difference?!!!!!”
