T&M the Epic, Part 14: 3 girls and 3 boys at a shopping mall

Trunks waited for the rest of the people that were coming to get there.  After 30 minutes of waiting, Goten and Nay came.

“Hey Trunks!” Nay greeted.

“Hey.” Trunks replied.

“Where’s Shellise at?” Goten asked.

“She canceled…” Trunks replied.  Trunks knew he was going to get some sympathy speech from the both of ‘em, but he didn’t want it.  “Look, she had something to do with her family, no big deal.”

Goten rolled his eyes.  “Chill, Trunks.”

After a few more minutes of waiting, Marron and James finally arrived.  “What took you so long?” Trunks asked.

“Sorry Trunks…I kind of woke up late…” Marron said.  She turned to James.  “Oh yeah…you haven’t met the two best guys I know…” She pointed and looked at Goten and Trunks.  “This is Goten, and that is Trunks.” They all shook hands.

‘I can’t believe I’m actually shaking hands with this guy…I should be punching him in the face by now.’ Trunks thought.

Marron turned to Nay.  “And that’s Najeda…”

“Nay for short.” Najeda said.  Najeda didn’t seem to like him either.  ‘Marron…I can’t believe you’re going out with him!!!  I thought only dumbass cheerleaders would go out with an asshole like him.’  Nay thought.

“Nice to meet ya.” James said.  “I’ve seen you before…”

“I don’t think you have, I mean, I don’t even know who you are.” Nay said rudely.  Marron gave her a look.  They all kept silent for a moment.

“Well!!  Shall we go look for a homecoming dress?” Marron asked, breaking up this whole silent catastrophe.  She grabbed James hand.  They all walked around and went into different stores.  Nay and Marron tried out different dresses, and the guys all gave their opinions.  Trunks and James would argue over the simplest things.

“I like it.” Marron said.  She was wearing a sleek black dress with a high slit that was shiny.  “What do you guys think?”

“I like it…” James said.

“I don’t.” Trunks argued.  “I mean she looks like Mr. Popo with glitter!”

James gave out a sarcastic laugh.  “Mr. Popo?” He said.  “Your invisible playmate?”

Trunks turned and looked at him.  Marron saw that something was going to happen, something bad.  She knew that Trunks would’ve punched James in the face already…but he didn’t.  “Look, can we get back to my dress?” Marron asked.  Goten and Nay was in another store, checking out her dress.

“Roonz, I gave you my opinion, I don’t like it.” Trunks said.

“Why not?” Marron asked.

“I like it, it gives a sleek and sexy comp lection.” James said.

“I never said it didn’t give a sleek and sexy complection.” Trunks said, getting a little defensive.  “I just don’t like it.  I mean, ON HER.”

Marron sighed.  ‘They don’t like each other…how random is that?!’

“Fine,” James said.  “I don’t like it.  Happy?”

Trunks nodded and walked out of the store.

~*~*~

Marron tried on a pink dress, with ruffles that went from top to bottom with a long slit.  It had no sleeves, and it had it gave her the cute girlie look.  She came out.  “I like it!  It’s perfect!”

Trunks nodded in agreement.  “I like it, it has a cute,” He turned to James.  “AND sexy comp lection to it.”

“I don’t know…it looks a little…”

“Let’s buy it!  I mean, I’ll buy it for you.” Trunks said interrupting James’ sentence.  He grabbed the dress and paid.  James crossed his arms he couldn’t stop him anyway.  Marron on the other hand…was furious.

~*~*~

“TRUNKS!” Marron yelled on the top of her lungs, talking to Trunks on the phone.  “WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM?!?!?!”

“Dang!  Chill!!” Trunks said.  “He’s a bastard!  I mean, Nay and Goten hate him already!  Are you dumb or something?!”

“God!  Can you at least be polite to the guy?!”

“NO!  I CAN’T!  AND WHY THE HELL AREN’T YOU FREAKING BLOWING HIS MIND?!  WHY MINE?!”

“BECAUSE!!” Marron paused.

“Because what?!  It’s fucking unfair!  He was the one being a bastard!  I mean, you guys have only been going out for 2 or 3 weeks, and what?  He tells you all that fucking bullshit about you looking bad in bright dresses that emerge your persona?!”

Marron kept silent.

“He wants you in those hoochy hoe looking dresses!!  I mean, he is a horny jock after all.”

“Trunks, stop.”

“No.  God, look, we’ll stop the bet so you can break up with that bastard!”

“It’s not about the bet anymore!” Marron cried.  She sounded a little shaky, a little scared.

Trunks paused and went silent.  “Are you okay?  Was it something I said?”

“God damn it!  You and Goten are the ones who always tell me; “Roonz, are you going to stay single ALL your life?”  And then I get a boyfriend, and you despise him?!  I DON’T GET THAT!”

“Do you actually think we’d despise him if we didn’t think he was a dickhead like James is?!”

She went silent again.

“You don’t understand Marron.” Trunks said.  “I mean, the only reason you liked the guy was because you thought he was cute.”

Kept silent.

“Look, I don’t trust him, I mean, dye my hair if you want!  I don’t care!  I’ll dye it back!”

Marron sighed.  “Do you really want me to break up with him THAT bad?!”

“I’m desperate…okay?”

“I don’t know…he seems different…I mean…he doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that you all are describing.”

“You’re blind.”

“I am not!  I mean, you haven’t gone out with him!  You haven’t kissed him yet!”

“Why the hell would I kiss the guy?!?!”

“Look, all I’m saying is…stick with me.  I mean, you guys have dated millions and trillions of girls…and me?  I can’t exactly stick with a guy for a long time…I mean, I’ve dated lots, I’m just not as open as you two are…There ARE things in the world that you guys know, and I don’t.  And I’m still learning…keep up with me.  Please?  Give him a chance…I mean, who knows, he actually could be the one.”

“You’re dreaming.”

“Trunks!!  Come on!  Please???”

Trunks sighed, and gave in.  “Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine.”

“Really?!?!”

“Well…on one condition.”

“What?”

“You owe me a dance, since I bought your dress.”

“Oh come on.”

“Deal or no deal?”

“Deal.”

“You better dance with me.”

“Trust me I will!!”  They paused for a moment.  “By the way…”

“What?”

“Thanks for buying that dress for me…I do like it better than the black one that James wanted.”

“Duh, I picked it, of course you like it better than the one pickle head picked.”

“I hate you.”

“I love you to, night.”

“Night, bye!”

~*~*~

Marron was running late.  It was right after Soccer practice, and she was supposed to be at Natalie’s.  “Damn it!  I’m supposed to be babysitting!  I was supposed to be there at 4:00 it’s already 4:45!!!  They’re going to kill me!!!!!!!!!!!” She screamed.

She was sweaty and all.  “Great, look at my great appearance!”  She parked in front of the house.

She quickly combed her hair, and ran to the door, with shorts, and a tank top.  “Please answer…” She pleaded quietly outside their door.  The door open and there stood Natalie.

“Oh my god!  Natalie!  Hi!!  I’m so sorry I’m late!!” Marron yelled.

Natalie looked confused.  “Are you even supposed to be here?”

Marron raised an eyebrow.  “Are you that mad??”

“But…”

“Natalie, do you want sprinkles or chocolate syrup?” Bra asked coming to the door.

“What?!  Bra???  What’re you doing here???????” Marron asked really confused.

“Natalie!  Bra!  Ice Creams ready!!” Trunks yelled from the inside.  He came out holding two ice creams with sprinkles and chocolate.

“Hey Roonz, sup?” He said coolly.

“Hey!  Let’s go eat up in my room, Bra!” Natalie suggested.

“Lets!  We have to leave those two cuckoo heads alone anyway.” Bra said.  They ran up the stairs and slammed the door.

Marron’s mouth was wide open.  “Wha…I…wha…I…” She paused and looked down for a few seconds.

Trunks was leaning against the door and looked at her weirdly.  “You might as well say thank you.”

“WHAT’S GOING ON?!” Marron yelled.

“Well…I knew you were babysitting today, so I decided to come here, at like 4:10.” Trunks said.  “When I got here, you weren’t here, and Mr. And Mrs. McCord were pissed off, so I took the blame and told them you couldn’t make it, and that you told me to take over.”

Marron smiled and sighed in relief.  “OH MY GOD!!!  I LOVE YOU!!” Marron yelled.  She jumped on Trunks and hugged him tightly.

“Yeah, yeah, you owe me one.”

“Thank you so much!!” Marron said.

“Yeah, you said that already, get off me!!” Trunks yelled trying to get Marron off.

Marron jumped off.  “Okay…well…I still need a shower…”

“I noticed…” Trunks said wiping his shirt.

“Bite me.”

“I would…but I’m eating ice cream…” Trunks said, smirking and eating ice cream.

“Whatever.” Marron said crossing her arms.  “I’ll just take a shower upstairs, and come back down.”

“Whatever…” Trunks said walking to the living room.

“Fine.” Marron walked back to her car and grabbed her bags.  She ran up the stairs happily and walked into the bathroom.

~*~*~

Marron walked down the stairs with a cute yellow sundress on.  She walked to the living room where Trunks was.  She saw him watching the weather channel, just lounging around on the most comfortable chair in the house.  “Why are you watching the Weather Channel?”

Trunks didn’t look up, but kept his eyes glued to the TV.  “Because, it says that it’s going to turn cold soon.”

“Trunks…it’s only October.”

“So?  I mean…it’s almost Thanks Giving day.”

“To bad Soccer season here isn’t that long.”

Trunks didn’t answer but kept his eyes glued to the TV.  Marron rolled her eyes, and sat down on a chair across from the TV.  “Well?”

Trunks kept silent, and Marron kept staring.  He glanced at her, and then back at the TV.  Marron kept staring…he glanced back at her, and then the TV.  Finally…he spoke up.  “WHAT?!”

Marron giggled.  She stood up.  “I’m wearing your favorite dress!  Haven’t you noticed???”

He looked at her intently.  He smirked.  “Yeah, I guess so.”

Marron giggled.  “I have a question.”

He sat up and looked at her.  “Okay, ask away.”

Marron walked to the couch and sat beside him.  “Why is this your favorite dress?”

Trunks raised an eyebrow.  “What kind of question is that?”

Marron rolled her eyes.  “I mean…ever since I wore it…like 4 years ago, on my freshman year, the first day of school, I mean I’m even glad it still fits me…but…you’ve loved it.  I mean, you’re always forcing me to wear it.”

“Your point?”

“Why do you like this dress ON ME?” Marron asked firmly.

Trunks shrugged.  “I don’t know…” He paused and looked at her.  “I mean…well…it’s a bright dress…makes you look cheery…it…” He paused again.  “It just brings out you.  You get me?”

Marron giggled.  “Okay…” She stood up and walked to the other side of the couch and sat down.  “What does it bring out, of me?”

“Why are you asking these questions????” Trunks asked irritably.

“I’m just asking!!  Come on!  Answer them!”

“Those answers are for me to know, and for you to stop asking about!!!” Trunks replied.  He grabbed a magazine and started reading.  He pushed Marron off the couch and lied down.

“Ouch!” Marron said.  She got up and snatched the magazine.  “Why won’t you answer them?!?!”

“Because!” He snatched it back.

“Because what?!” Marron asked.  She brought her face an inch away from his.  “Well…?”

“Why do you want to know?” Trunks asked softly.   Marron kept silent, but kept staring.  Trunks was on the couch sitting down, while Marron was bending down, looking at him.

“Because…I…” Marron didn’t continue, but closed her eyes and got closer.

“HELLO!!!  NO MAKING OUT IN THE LIVING ROOM!!” Bra yelled.

“I have to agree!”

Marron and Trunks jumped away from each other.  “Ahem…I was just asking Trunks a question.” Marron said nervously.  She was crimson red, and had nothing to say for her actions.  ‘What the hell was I thinking?!?!?!  WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT MARRON?!?!?!  YOU WERE JUST ABOUT TO KISS YOUR BESTFRIEND!’

Trunks cleared his throat and sat up.  “Yeah…” He was also crimson red.  “She was.  Go back upstairs or something.”

He picked up the magazine and started “pretend reading” again.  ‘What the hell was that Trunks???  You were about to kiss her!!’ He paused and glanced at her.  ‘Or she was about to kiss you.’  He paused again.  ‘Okay Trunks…kissing Marron…bad thought…I mean she’s a squeaky clean baby that doesn’t know how to kiss…well…you don’t know that but whatever.’

Trunks and Marron spent the whole day babysitting…in silence.
