“Neither can I.” Goten whispered back. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” She whispered, and they kissed again.
“When do you think they’ll find us?” Goten asked.
“I don’t know, but I hope it’s not anytime soon.” Bra giggled.
“Where are they?” Marron called out to the darkening sky. It had
seemed like it was at least five years since the last time she had seen
her sister-in-law, when only it had been three days. She sighed and
landed. “Bra! Goten! Are you there?!” She
walked past a small cave. Where, if she had looked, she would have
seen a sleeping teen-aged boy and girl.
“Marron, see anything?”
“Iie!” She called up to Trunks.
“Well, it’s getting kinds late . . . maybe we should go home for now.”
Trunks said.
“Okay.” She said, and felt like crying. She flew home slowly, looking
at the ground for any signs of Goten or Bra. None.
TJ couldn’t sleep. He rolled over and looked at his clock. 11:07,
and his parents weren’t home yet! He knew that they were out looking
for Bra and Goten. Every night they stayed out later and later looking
for them.
TJ felt horrible. Is we hadn’t gone on that stupid tiger hunt . .
. he thought. I wish I could help them. What can I do though?
They’ve been searching and searching and it hasn’t done any good!
He smiled as he got any idea. “I know.” He whispered quietly and
climbed out of bed. He picked up the found and dialed his grandfather’s
number. “Be awake.” He pleaded quietly.
Vegeta grumbled as he stopped training at the sound of the telephone. He walked out of his gravitonal room to the phone in the next one. “What do you want?” He said into the phone. “Hi, grad father! It’s me! TJ!” TJ said on the other line in a cheerful, but quiet voice. “What do you want?” He asked again. “Well, this is about Bra.” TJ said.
“Man, Goten, I’m really, really cold.”
Bra said, cuddling up to him.
“So am I.” Goten said.
“I’m going to start a fire.” She
said, and crawled out to get some wood. She came back quickly and
tried to start it. After a few unsuccessful attempts, she yelled
out, “Arrgh! I’m cold, hungry and lost in the woods, and now
the fire won’t even start!” Goten sighed and concentrated on the wood,
shooting a very small chi blast, but it was enough to light the wood on
fire.
Vegeta flew over the forest and tried to concentrate on Bra or Goten’s chi. All of a sudden he felt a spark of Goten’s chi coming from a north direction. Vegeta locked on and flew at full speed to the cave.
“They found them?!” Marron yelled
into the phone the next day. “When did this happen? Who found
them? Where are they? Are they okay?”
“Uh . . .” Bulma said on the other
line. “Yes, they found them, it happened last night, and what was
the other questions?”
“Who found them, where are they,
and are they okay?” Marron repeated a bit slower.
“Vegeta found them, they’re at the
hospital, and they’re both okay, but a bit hungry.” Bulma said, laughing
to herself.
“Vegeta found them?” She asked,
sitting in a chair.
“How? When? Who?”
“I believe TJ called him last night.
He found them right away.” Bulma said. “Now, I’d like to ask you
a couple of questions myself.”
“Yes?” She asked, feeling a little
sick. She was going to get the riot act now.
“Why didn’t you tell us?”
“Well, we were kinda worried that
if Vegeta found out . . .”
“Okay, I understand that, what about
me?”
“Well . . .” She giggled nervously.
“We thought, since you’re his wife and all, that maybe, it’s just possible
that you’d end up telling him.”
“Okay . . .” She said carefully.
“Oh, they just paged me down here, gotta run.”
“Bye.” Marron sighed, and they both
hung up. Marron immediately ran and yelled up to TJ, “I’m going to
the hospital to see Bra and Goten, wanna come?” She asked, but before she
could finish the sentence TJ was waiting by the door. “Okay, I’ll
take that as a yes.”
She laughed and they took off to
the hospital.
“Bra, some people are here to see
you.” A nurse said, opening the door. Marron, Trunks, and TJ walked
in. Marron immediately sat down next to her and asked her about a
billion questions.
“Uh . . . slow down, Marron.” Bra
said, holding her head. “I have a ragging headache, and I’m throwing
up, like, constantly.”
“Oh, sorry. Where were you
two?” Marron asked.
“We were in a cave, near a cliff.”
Bra said. “And we couldn’t get home because Goten got crushed by
a huge pile of rocks.”
“What?” Trunks, Marron and TJ asked at the same time. Bra told them the
whole story, except for the nights, of course.
“Well, when are you going to be well enough to leave?” Marron asked.
“Oh, I can leave today. Goten’s going to have to stay for a while,
though.” Bra said. “Getting crushed by a rockslide and all.”
They talked for a few more minutes, but had to leave after a while.
“See you tomorrow!” TJ called as they pushed him out the door.
“Bye TJ-chan.” Bra laughed.
TWO MONTHS LATER:
“Moshi moshi?” Bra asked.
“Hey, it’s Goten.”
“Hi Goten!”
“Look, I was wondering, would you like to go out somewhere tonight?” Goten
asked nervously.
“Yeah, sure. Where?” She asked.
“Um, you pick.”
“Okay, how about McDonalds?” Bra asked.
“McDonalds?” Goten asked, sounding disappointed.
“Yeah, there something wrong with that?” She asked sounding kind of confused.
“Um . . . no, I guess if you want to go to McDonalds,
then we’ll go to McDonalds.” Goten
said.
“Okay, when do you want to go?”
“Now?”
“Okay, I’ll see you there.”
“Okay, bye.”
“Bye.” Goten said, and hung up quickly, jumping into his car. He
zoomed to the McDonalds, and waited at a table. Bra walked through
the door, and saw Goten immediately, and ran over to him.
“Hey Goten.” She said.
“Hi Bra. How are you?”
“I’m good, you?”
“Oh, I’m good. How are you? Oh, yeah, you already answered
that.” He said nervously. “Well, I guess I should get this over with.”
“What?”
“Um . . .” Goten got down on one knee. “Bra?”
“Goten?” She asked, shaking with happiness.
“Bra, will you marry me?”
“Oh. My. God.”
“What does that mean?” Goten asked,
getting more nervous then he already was.
“That means yes! Yes, yes,
yes, yes, yes and triple yes!!” Bra squealed. “I can’t . . . I can’t believe
this is finally happening!”
“I can’t believe you said yes.”
Goten said, they hugged.
“I love you, Son Bra.”
“I love you too.”
TWO MONTHS LATER:
“Marron?!” Bra squealed running her house without knocking on her door.
“Bra? Is that you?” Marron asked from the kitchen.
“Yes it’s me, it’s definitely me!” Bra yelled, and ran in to the kitchen.
“What’s wrong?” She asked. “Wait, you don’t look sad.”
“What’s wrong is that I’m throwing up in the morning, and having mood swings,
and I’m going to gain an incredible amount of weight in about two months,
and in seven months, there’s going to be a little girl at our house!” Bra
said.
“What?!” Marron asked. “You’re . . . you’re pregnant?!?”
“Yes!” She said.
“I can’t believe it!” Marron said. “So, do you know what you’re going
to name her?”
“Yes, Goten wants to name her Arlene, because it means bright and shinning.
So, that’s what its going to be.” Bra said.
“That’s a beautiful name!” Marron said. “I’m so happy for you two!”
“So am I!” Bra said. “I’m so happy! I wonder what she’ll look
like!”
“So do I.” Marron said.
“What do you too?” Trunks asked, walking in the room.
“I’m pregnant!”
“She’s pregnant!” Marron and Bra said at the same time.
“Really? My little sister?” Trunks asked.
“Yes!” They both said.
“Isn’t it great?” Marron asked.
“Uh, yeah.” Trunks said. “So, I’m going to have a niece or nephew
soon?”
“In seven months, and its going to be a girl!” Marron said.
“That’s great, Bra!” Trunks said.
“Thanks, Trunks.” She said.
“I’m just surprised her name’s not going to be Lingerie!” Trunks laughed.
