CHAPTER SIX
Goku set the last dragonball down. “All
right, let’s get the dragon here and get you guys back to grown ups,” he
said.
“You appear to need it,” Bulma
added.
Chibi Goten and Chibi Bra
hung their heads. “Sorry,” Chibi Goten mumbled.
“It wasn’t my wedding,” Bulma
told them.
Chibi Bra nodded. “We already
told Niichan and Marron-chan we were sorry,” she told her mother.
Bulma smiled beatifically.
“Well, then, everything appears to be settled. Goku, why don’t you
call that dragon now?”
Goku grinned and her. “Why
don’t I?” he agreed. “Dragon, here my call!” he yelled.
The ostentatious display of
dark clouds and such failed to impress anyone present.
“What is your wish?” the dragon
roared.
“We wish for these two to
be restored to their normal ages,” Goku said.
“That I cannot do.”
Chibi Goten and Chibi Bra
gasped. “What?” Chibi Bra yelled.
“This type of magic must only
be reversed by the one to cast it,” the dragon rumbled. “What is another
wish?”
“Can you bring the person
who did this here so she can undo this?” Bulma asked.
The dragon nodded. The
woman who Goten and Bra had saved popped in front. Goku grabbed her
arms and held her.
“Your wish is granted,” the
dragon growled and departed. The dragonballs did their little disappearing
act and soon it was just the people standing there.
“We want you to make us adults
again,” Chibi Goten told the woman.
The woman stared at them.
“Who are you?” she asked, confused.
“You were getting beat up
by some guys and when we saved you, you got mad at us. You said you
wanted to show us how you felt,” Chibi Bra reminded her.
The woman’s face cleared.
“Oh, of course. You guys. Well, I could make you adults again,
but I have some conditions.”
“What are they?” Bulma asked
warily.
“I want you not to bother
me ever again. I want this to be the last you ever hear of me, and
I hear of you. I will make you adults, and go.”
Bulma considered that.
“If you’ll answer a question,”
Chibi Bra piped up.
“What?” the woman asked.
“Why did you get mad at us
for saving you?”
The woman laughed. “I do that
on purpose. I let people beat on me, then, when their energy is at
its peak, I take it. I leave them enough to live, but they have to
sleep for about ten hours before they feel normal again. It makes
me a more powerful witch.”
Chibi Goten stared at her.
“Oh,” he said in a small voice.
“But I will make you grown
ups again, if you’ll leave me alone from now on.”
“We will,” Bulma said firmly.
“Okay.” The woman touched
each on the cheek. “There you go. Let’s see…five, four, three, two,
one.”
They both felt a strange sensation
of growing and looked down. Bra grinned. “Yes! I’m grown up
again!”
Bulma was staring at her.
“Wait a minute,” she started. She turned on the witch. “You…”
“Look, you wanted both adults.
They’re both 18 now, both adults. You promised to leave me alone,
so, adios.” And she disappeared.
Goten and Bra stared at each
other. “I’m younger than Marron!” Goten exclaimed. “Younger than Marron!”
“I’m two years older than
I was!” Bra shrieked at the same time. “Yes, yes!”
Bulma and Goku were staring
at them. “They’re 18?” Bulma whispered.
“That’s what the woman said,”
Goku replied. “Oh, this is so unbelievable.”
Bra didn’t stop grinning.
“18, 18, 18,” she chanted. “I’m 18 now! This is so cool! So
cool!”
Bulma took her daughter by
the arm. “Well, come on. We might as well go show your father.”
Goku nodded at his son. “Your
mother won’t believe this,” he said. “You tell her.”
“I’m 18,” Goten moaned again.
“Younger than Marron, for Dende’s sake. I can’t believe this.
18!”
“Come on, Goten. Let’s
just get home. I know your mother is cooking dinner right now,” Goku
told him.
Goten brightened marginally.
“Well, at least I can eat away my depression.” He levitated slightly. “And
it’s easy to fly again. Well, let’s just go home.”
They flew away.
Bulma and Bra stood there.
“Well, we better get home,
too,” Bulma said.
“Yes, Kaasan,” Bra agreed
and they left for Capsule Corp.
