--Five surreal continents, floating high up in the atmosphere of the earth…East, West, North, South, and Central…Names of the masses in the skies, unknown…
The Islands
of the Sky are an unknown territory, only recently discovered. The only
island that is currently inhabited and known of is the Central Isle…the
other four isles currently unexplored.
Central Isle…
The temperate
climate of the Central Isle is ideal for living. The massive GTM Garden
governs most of the Central Isle. So far, the Central Isle seems appropriate
for living. The Central Isle has only three seasons. Spring, summer, and
fall being those four seasons. The climate of the Central Isle is usually
warm during the spring and summer, and cool during the fall season. A thick
layer of forest and mountains surrounds the isle, with a large lake surrounding
the interior. In the middle of the isle, GTM Garden lies. The Garden itself
is connected to the core of the Central Isle. On the edges of the isle,
four tremendous bridges extend themselves out over the skies, locking onto
the other four islands. The Central Isle is the third largest of the islands.
As of now, Garden is slowly expanding over the island.
Eastern Isle…
A very
ominous atmosphere lies in the skies over the Eastern Isle…Completely
unexplored; Eastern Isle is the most dangerous of the five
isles…No one from Team GTM has ever been on the interior of the island,
let alone the exterior. On the seventh day of every week, a tremendous
storm swells up in the skies, ravaging the island. The clouds swell so
much in fact, the dark super-cell clouds can be seen from the Southern
Isle and the Central Isle, looming upward, rocking the atmosphere. From
a sky view, the island has very rough terrain and is infested with strange
looking forests, mountains, rivers, ruins. The soils look scorched and
dark, increasing the gloomy look of the deadened atmosphere. The clouds
around the isle are sulfuric and yellow, blocking out most of the sunlight.
Because of that, life hangs by a thread on the island. Dead trees and grass
scatter across the surface of the isle. Also, due to the sulfuric yellow
cloud cover, no one can get a decent look of the activity on the island
surface…
Western Isle…
Another
un-explored isle, the Western Isle seems to be mainly composed
of arid desert regions. However, as seen from the skies, it seems that
the Western Isle has a massive city hidden deep somewhere in the canyons.
All the other towns are mainly evacuated, and are, to simply be put, ghost
towns. The arid Western Isle is hot, dry, and very inhabitable for life
to flourish. However, the deserts are marked with unknown amount of oases.
These areas are very fertile, and are currently un-explored. The desert
regions are highly dangerous, as several species of carnivorous creatures
roam the dry earth of the isle through the day and night. The temperature
usually stays extreme, from anywhere to 140 degrees Fahrenheit during the
day, to –20 degrees Fahrenheit in the nights. It is rumored that the city,
hidden somewhere in the canyons, is a mass technological piece of art.
Though never truly discovered, signs of its existence have been confirmed…the
canyons themselves dig deep into the island core, some canyons have been
assumed to be three miles deep. The canyons are highly dangerous, and will
soon be under the course of exploration.
Northern Isle…
The isle
that dwells highest in the skies, the Northern isle is definitely the cold
spot of the 5 Islands. On the exterior of the Arctic Isle, the temperatures
moderate from anywhere to 65 degrees Fahrenheit to chilly temperatures
to 20 degrees Fahrenheit. The exterior seems to be active, as several cities
outline the edges of the island. Life flourishes, due to the massive river
system set throughout the isle. This island seems to be very civilized,
and has been known to have an extravagant aerospace center, along with
a strong military establishment located elsewhere on the isle. The Northern
Isle appears to be the active area of the Islands of the Sky. However,
the interior remains untouched by explorer’s tracks. As one enters deeper
into the interior, the temperature declines exceedingly, some temperatures
recorded to be –160 below zero. Tall crags surround the island interior,
along with lush snowfields. Several thick clouds cover the mountain region,
making it very difficult to see anything. The Northern Isle
holds much beauty, but also holds much danger.
Southern Isle…
A tropical paradise, the Southern Isle is a giant, lush rainforest, littered with deep tropic jungles. Un-explored ruins mark the isle, some rumored from stories and tales to have incredible riches within them. The isle is very humid, and monsoons hit the isle regularly every year. The monsoons usually occur from early July to late August. The waters from the lakes and rivers usually force the jungle inhabitants to seek higher grounds, or to hide in the ruins plotted through out the island. Natives have been known to roam the island, their customs and religions unknown. It has been previously discovered from hieroglyphics located in some of the ruins, that a higher race of beings inhabited the islands, creating the utopian environment. The race has also been assumed to have the unique powers and resources to have lifted six regions from around the world, gathering the masses into one point in the sky, turning it into the now what is known ‘Islands of the Sky’. This island is under the course of exploration.
